Can I stay in the lounge for my overnight layover?

You may be able to use an airport lounge during an overnight layover, but lounge access does not automatically include permission to stay overnight.

Most airport lounges operate for specific hours and limit how long each guest can stay. An overnight layover does not mean you can enter the lounge at any time.

When can I enter during an overnight layover?

As a general rule, lounge entry is only permitted within the period covered by your pass, counted back from your scheduled flight departure time. Always follow the lounge-specific entry rules shown on its listing.

For example, with a 3-hour pass and a flight scheduled for 6am, entry would normally be from 3am. Arriving at the airport at 10pm the night before does not make the pass valid for entry then, even if the lounge is open 24 hours.

What should I check before booking?

• Opening hours: Check the lounge operating hours on its LoungePair listing. If the lounge closes overnight, you will need to leave when it closes, even if your pass duration has not expired.
• Maximum stay: Your pass covers a specified visit duration, often 3 or 4 hours. This does not override the permitted entry window before your scheduled flight departure.
• Terminal access: Confirm that you can access the lounge during your layover. Security, immigration, terminal opening hours and boarding-pass requirements may affect entry.

Can I buy additional passes to stay longer?

Some lounges may allow you to extend your visit or purchase additional access. However, this is subject to the lounge policies and availability.

Purchasing multiple passes does not guarantee earlier entry, continuous access or permission to remain overnight. Confirm any extension directly with the lounge before relying on it.

Can I sleep in the lounge?

Lounges generally provide comfortable seating rather than dedicated sleeping accommodation. Some may have rest areas, but sleeping facilities and rules vary.

If you need several hours of uninterrupted sleep, an airport hotel, sleep pod or dedicated sleeping facility may be more suitable.

Are showers available, and how much do they cost?

Some lounges offer showers, which may incur an additional charge payable directly to the lounge and are subject to availability. There is no standard shower fee across lounges. Check the specific lounge listing for any published charge, or contact us before purchasing if the price is not listed.
